Using the following scale what kind of trails do you want to run.

(5.0) Impassable trails: (http://www.wheelingarizona.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8896)These trails are for the extreme four-wheeler only. These trails require highly modified vehicles, including lift, excellent articulation, lockers front and rear, large tires with aggressive tread, winches, lower t-case gearing, high lift jacks. Safety Cage 4 point minimum, door bars, 4 point safety harnesses, and helmet recommended. A High level of Off-Road driving skill is required. Paint damage is virtually guaranteed, body and/or mechanical damage is very likely. Rollovers will be more common on these trails and a winch will be used on at least one obstacle.

(4.5) Extreme trails: (http://www.wheelingarizona.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8896)These trails cross extremely rugged terrain with very steep inclines, large boulders, and potentially dangerous situations. These trails require modified vehicles, including lift, lockers, and over-sized tires, lower t-case gearing. Safety Cage is recommended. A High level of Off-Road driving skill is required. There will likely be paint damage, possible vehicle body and/or mechanical damage. There are possibilities of rollovers. Winches are recommended.

(4.0) Difficult trails: (http://www.wheelingarizona.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8896)These trails traverse very rugged terrain; low-range 4WD is required. Higher than stock ground clearance is required. Aggressive tread and low air pressure are required. Traction Devices (Lockers or limited-slip) in the differentials (front and rear), lift, and larger tires are highly recommended. These trails require above average Off-Road driving skills. High-Lift jacks and winches would also be helpful. There will likely be paint damage and possible vehicle body and/or mechanical damage.

(3.5) Challenging 4WD trails: (http://www.wheelingarizona.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8896)Challenging trails on which low range 4WD is required. You will encounter a variety of more difficult challenges (loose rocks, large potholes, steep inclines, and large rocks) on these trails. Not recommended with stock 4WD vehicle. Traction device (limited slip) in rear differential, aggressive tread and low air pressure highly recommended. Higher than stock ground clearance is advisable. Moderate experience and driving skill advised. Likely paint damage, possible rocker-panel damage.

(3.0)Standard 4WD trails: (http://www.wheelingarizona.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8896)Demanding trails on which 4WD is required. You will encounter a variety of more difficult challenges (loose rocks, large potholes, steep inclines, and large rocks) on these trails. Possible with stock 4WD vehicle, however, recommend traction device (limited slip) in rear differential, aggressive tread and low air pressure. Higher than stock ground clearance is advisable. Low range gears used often. Moderate experience and driving skill advised. Likely paint damage, possible rocker-panel damage.

(2.5) Easy 4WD trails: (http://www.wheelingarizona.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8896)Moderately demanding trails on which 4WD will be required. You may encounter a wide variety of challenges (Potholes, minor washouts, medium size rocks, and mud holes) on these trails. Higher ground clearance and Off-Road tires are recommended.

(2.0) Easy 2WD/4WD trails: (http://www.wheelingarizona.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8896)Features trails with obstacles that are easy to navigate. In optimum weather conditions, these trails may not require the continual use of four-wheel drive (4WD).

(1.5) Semi-Maintained Dirt Roads: (http://www.wheelingarizona.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8896)These roads are occasionally graded or maintained. They may cross sandy washes and sections may be rough (washboards), 2wd some ground clearance required.

(1.0) Maintained Dirt Roads: (http://www.wheelingarizona.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8896)These roads are graded or maintained year round. Typical non-paved county roads. 2wd car with low clearance is ok.

(0.5) Back Roads: (http://www.wheelingarizona.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8896) These are paved roads that may have filled or unfilled potholes. Typical paved county roads.

(0.0) Highways: (http://www.wheelingarizona.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8896) These are paved roads suitable for everyday traffic.

So i see you need some body protection, is it really required? I have none, just a trasnfer case skid. Im on 32's on a 3 inch lift. its not my daily driver so i dont mind scratches and bumps, but I dont want to F it up... What do you guys think?

We will have trails for all rigs. This is only to see what trails to run. If we have 15 rigs that want 4.5 than maybe do two runs at 4.5. Go over the rating list and tell us what rating you are good with so we can plan accordingly out many trails get run that day. There are a ton of trails for all of us to do.

Alex- you've seen my rig. 32's on 4.5. I've done some body damage but not serious. The stuff I run, you could run with your rig.

I am not sure what mine can do. I am only runnning 35's locked front and rear with recovery points, sliders and a winch. It looks like I might get to go to this event. I guess I better go to the store and get some Fosters for Brian.:worship:

I just re-read what I wrote. I meant 32's on 4.5" of lift. I pretty much run 3.5-4ish trails in FJ.

I like to run 3.0-4.0. I've run 4.5 and was a nervous nelly the whole way, and it is no fun to get winched.

I like 3.5's and 4.0's. I'm tired of the body damage and don't want to add to it. I'll run a 4.5 if Winks is on it though, cause I know he's even more careful about the body damage than I am ;).
