Upgrades from newer rig

Does anyone know if the headliner out of a 98 xj will fit an 88 xj ?

I have access to a 98 with a full headliner/center console/soundbar, and would like ot replace my old sagging headliner with it if it will fit without too much trouble

It fits. The only thing I had a problem with was the dome lights and visors. I put a 00 in my 88.

awesome...do either of you know if any of the power window stuff from thenewer one is retrofittable as well ?

The wiring and physical dimensions are different. If you do it that way, you're best doing the doors too.

Yes, you just have to change the door striker (latch) to the new style. Otherwise, it's bolt n play.
