Detroit Locker C-clip question

I just installed 4.56's in my 8.25 (29spline). I got a detroit locker off of ebay, and it seems that the stock c-clips are too big. They will not recess so I can get the pin in. Does anyone know if the detroit locker comes with smaller radius c-clips when brand new? Or, can I just grind them down a little and make them fit?

Yes,just grind them down to fit loosely!
