where do you guys buy yours? basically im looking for a hood mounted CB antenna, not the magnet type. from what i read, it sounds like most antennas are four feet tall. are there three foot antennas out there? a four foot wouldn't clear the garage door. i tried radioshack, but couldn't find a non magnet type. im kind of looking for something local. thanks.

I've got a 3.5" lip mount CB that would work on your hood. No holes to mount.

Hatch mount only if you have a metal hatch. Hatch mount on a fiberglass hatch won't work.
Tune it after installation. Transmitting antennas must be tuned.
You MIGHT get by without tuning but if the tuning is far enough off, you will burn out your output transisters.
