2wd speedo calibration

We added 3inches and 31's with 4:10 rearend gears and need to know how to calibrate the speedo on the 2wd 93xj. I have looked on here but only find info on transfercase speedo gear change. Any ideas? Thanks.

same way. (at least it was on the 2wd i pulled parts from). The same speedo assembly is mounted to the tailshaft instead of the t-case. just pull it out, swap gears, and pop it back in. here's the chart i use.

Thanks, I was hoping that would be the answer. You guys are great. We have learned alot here and have gained some really good info and inspiration. One more thing. you all were right, removing the stock rear bumper is a #%6*#!

I must be an idiot cause I can tell if that site is telling me I need a long shaft or short shaft 37 tooth gear for a 93 2wd 5speed.

93 was a transition year. Take 2 minutes to pop the gear out of the tailhousing and confirm long or short.

Long shaft = 4" or so
Short shaft = 2" or so
