New used 98, swapping parts to good 97.

Hello all.

Today I scored a 98 Cherokee Sport with 93k miles that has had a hard life.
Some body damage to the header panel, right front fender and dents on left doors. I paid $1600 for it. It is road worthy, most everything works.

The clockspring on my 97 (vehicle redone, very good shape) is bad. I want to swap the one from the 98 to the 97. How hard is it to remove the clockspring? Good on the 98.
Same with the overhead console. It has a working temp/compass guage.
How hard is this to move from the 98 to the 97?
Also the keyless entry module, also from the 98 to the 97. Hard?
Other good operational parts will be put/swapped on the 97 DD and the 98 will eventually be made into a trail rig. It will be stripped, gutted, lifted and all that in the spring.

Thanks for the help.

The wife keeps rolling her eyes and now wonders if a third XJ will end up on our property.

Yes, most of that stuff will swap over. I suggest getting a FSM so you have the info on how to do it. I found one on ebay for my '97 for around $50. Well worth the money spent.
