Does "the" 1991 FSM cover more than XJ?

Hey crew,

Usually i can find my answer searching, but not turning up much luck here. I've got a lead on a 1991 FSM, but it covers Commanche, Wrangler, Cherokee & Grand Wagoneer (in 3 books, 1. Wiring Diagrams 2. Vehicle communications diagnostic & 3. Service Manual):

I just want to confirm that this is the FSM I want. I was under the impression that FSM's just covered specific makes. Please advise, and thank you very much for your time!

Sounds right - the FSM for my '92 covers XJ, YJ, and MJ.

My 95 FSM covers both the XJ and YJ so it had to be after 95 that they seperated them for specific vehicles.

so is fsm a good service manaul? i need one, that autozone crap sucks:flamemad:

FSM = factory service manual.
Its thicker than the New York phone book. Haynes and Chilton arent even in the same catigory. FSMs cost around $75-$100

thanks, so where do i get one?
I cant remember where I got my 95 FSM. I know I ordered it online.
A quick search comes up with these to start you off. Looks like they may have gone up in price a little since I bought mine 9 or 10 years ago, go figure. Anyway, well worth the money if you plan to do more than simple maintenance on your Jeep. It looks like the 91 FSM (black cover) covers all 91 vehicles.

EDIT: Oops, just noticed that you (sWissfoo) have a 97 and not a 91. You should still be able to find a FSM from the above places.
