winch rope ?'s

i've been looking at winch ropes , but don't know if I should get 5/16 or 3/8's line.my warn winch has 5/16 cable on it , so I was leaning toward 5/16 line (13,000lb line),but it's only 40ish bucks more to go with the 3/8's line (18,000lb line) :dunno: . well let me know what you think. thanks

Depends on how close the tree/vehicle that your gonna be pullin from is, haha

If its only 40 more, go for it.. JMO...

I'm going with the 3/8ths when I change mine. My Ramsey will only hold 80 ft. or so, so I'll probably get a 50 to 100' extension at some point, "just in case".

i went with 5/16 amsteel, load of 13600 and burst of 14700?? I think. also went that route due to 150' being on the warn 8274
