The shocks are mounted on each side of the axle (OEM) help prevent axle wrap and wheel hop on leaf spring suspension. This is with the factory(weak) shocks. Swapping to both on one side may not make a noticeable difference with different shocks, but you will loose a little axle control by doing it. I've seen a pic. here on of a shock bar that kept the shocks on the lower factory points, but I think it required 3.5 or 4 inches of lift to use. How high you sitting?
Im thinking of Cross Enterpises shock hoop because it does not use the factory shock mounting locations which the JKS modle uses. I'm sitting at 5.5'' and will be using bilstien shocks.
