3" and 31s?

I am thinking about going:

3" leaf pack
3" lift coils
JKS discos
Take off rear sway bars
go 31 BFG a/ts later

Trimming and free bald 32s (til I get 31s.), they got 20% tread so there probably like 31s now?

Anyone ran a high flow cat, flowmaster and no tailpipe? or is it too loud?

I'll just get the :flame: out of the way first... over 60 posts and you haven't seen anything about NOT USING BLOCKS! hasta

Now that that is over with...Not the way to go man. They will create axle wrap and wear out leafs. Not to mention that if your going from stock to 3" you may end up with driveline vibs. It appears that you are attemping to do a light lift and keep it under a budget.. is this right?

A good 3-3 1/2 inch lift will clear 31's well. Having the right backspacing on the wheels will help with any rubbing you may encounter. IF you go with something like Rubicon Express you will yeild more then the 3.5" they list it as. Yet the Vib deal may or may not happen with any lift you do.

I have run a Random Cat and a Flowmaster40 set up. Not load really but I did run a tail pipe.

3" and 31"s shouldn't be a huge problem - I think I had a little rub at full lock on my 87, but that was about it. Check your bumpstops, tho.

I've not done the flowmaster & no cat thing, but I ran a rig on an open downpipe (while I was getting the rest welded up) and I thought it sounded pretty good. I'm thinking a cat and no muffler, or a "no-baffle can" as a resonator. I don't run at high rpm, so I don't get that grating sound (but it will set of car alarms that are too sensitive...)

I was iffy, but then I read some posts that using blocks were too bad, as long as there not super big.

I edited it before anyone posting, to make my list better, and yes im on a super tight budget! :laugh3:
