little yellow caps in the engine compartment

i've been diggin through my chiltons manual and havn't found anything about these wiring connectors just behind the power distro panel in my 88's engine bay. its a 4.0 I6. one is a bit bigger then the other. anyone have any ideas? i was htinkin maybe something for diagnostics but i really have no clue.

RENIX Diagnostic port D1 & D2. They give access to a few circuits to make multimeter testing easier, but they don't work with too many diagnostic tools (the Snap-On MT2500 comes to mind, but that's about it. The Chrysler DRBII, if you can find one.)

I think the electrical diagrams in the Chilton manuals are fairly compleat, but I think I have .pdf files up that might help you some more on my RENIXPower group - groups.yahoo.com/group/RENIXPower.
