Won't run

I just got a 88' jeep that has a newer motor in it. When I bought it the tranny was bad. I just replaced the tranny and now its having problems running.

It has problems idleing, and when i push on the throttle to go it'll bog down and if I feather the throttle it tries moving. It almost sounds and feels like a wet distributor.

I already replaced the dist. cap and cleaned the plugs.

Any help would be GREAT!!!

run a can of seafoam through the throttle body....then see how it acts

make sure all the intake is clean, also make sure the wires are all good.

how did the plugs look? were they all firing? any gas smell from the plugs?

have you replaced the fuel filter or checked the pressure at the rail?
