So I just bought a cherokee, and the paint was done with spray paint. The guy did no prep work just painted over the previous paint. It chips very easy and was wondering if there is any way of stopping this until I am ready to paint it?

sand blast the hell out of it.

I was actually considering bringing it to a car wash and just using the pressure sprayer, sad thing is the paint chips that easy. It is gold underneath and honestly for now it looks better with the rattle can red. I dont want to paint it until i turn around to sell it since I plan on wheeling it hard. This way when i come home with a big scratch it wont be on my brand new paint job
