Ok, need to replace one. Dealership quoed me 1100$ (seems VERY high). A co-worker know a guy who can rebuild em (with a higher stall if i want). Opinions?

$1100? Dealers are smoking crack and trying to make up profits after their multi-platform disasters.
Why not pull a tranny and TQ from a junkyard? You can buy a half-dozen of them for what the dealer wants...
