removing a/c

Mine doesn't work on my '88 Cherokee.
I have no plans on fixing it.
How much can I remove for weight and working room?
If there were an aftermarket bracket/pulley ass'y That would eliminate the compressor and make more room.
I would leave the relay circuit there for manual cycling of the electric fan.
Any suggestions?

The non-ac version has a bracket and idle pulley in place of the a/c. I recall someone posting a picture and part number before. You could always turn the compressor into onboard air. I installed a junkyard compressor when the idler went bad, but haven't gotten around to hooking it up as onboard air yet.

I found the part no.
5300-2904 bracket
5300-2903 pulley
3420-1864 bolt
3300-2201 bushing
Would be cheaper to find one at a scrap yard if I can I'm sure.

You convert the ac compressor so it will compress air rather than refigerant so when your engine is running you can fill your tires or on board air storage tank/s.
