Rear Window Malfunction

i have a 97' XJ and all windows work except my rear right, the power for this window allow's me to roll down but will not go up when i hit the switch. I searched and found things about lockout switches? don't know whats wrong if anybody could help it would be greatly appreciated.

My buddies 97 had this problem... we tested the wiring at the rear passenger door and found a short in one of the window wires. After playing with the way the wires are taped together and re-wrapping them, he's had no more issues. Start simple as they say.

Thanks for the reply, i kept looking at lockout switch issues, and while driving around tonight i got it back up all the way after messing with it for awhile. Good to know its not a motor or anything like that, and thank god it didn't rain today

Lockout disables up and down window functions for all passenger windows.
