CB making loud clicking noise and I can hear myself over the XJ's speakers?

I tightened my CB's 4ft antenna lastnight and then today I was trying to talk to a fellow jeeper and I ran into the problems above.

I can hear everyone else fine, they can hear me fine, and the problem happens about every 20 or so minutes.

Did I mess with my SWR somehow?

I would definitely re-check your SWRs, and double check all of your grounding to make sure it is still solid.
