How hard is it to replace a gas tank? Is it a good idea to get one from ajunkyard? how much do they cost new?

Junk yard should be cheap. Not hard to change or if you want a bigger, stronger tank you can get an aftermarket one. My Aero tank is steel and 30 gallons. It holds 32 gal and is really heavy when full but only lowered my rear about .25" Doesn't use straps, it bolts in. I can post a couple pics if you want them.

To give you an idea Advanced has one for 137.77
I would never ever buy a tank from a junkyard = RUST.
Most yards have to drill and drain the tanks anyway.

I bought the tank from Advance, very happy with it.
Just like anything else that was put on at the factory: P-Blaster is your friend!
Wear eye protection.
