I see all these designs for controlling torque converter lockup, shifting, etc.
Here's my idea...i saw the "LOW/HIGH" fake shifter in an AW4 Mod site, where you tap it up to upshift, tap down to downshift, etc.
Why not make a fake simulated manual transmission?
Somehow take a joystick that has a large rotating radius, cut out (in sheet metal) the shift pattern of your choice (1,2,3,4,5) 5 being Overdrive and Torque Converter...then on the bottom of the joystick, position a series of push buttons, so when the shifter is in the "1" position...its in first, "2" in second, and so on and so on.
Anybody ever try this? Its almost like a more complicated slap-shift.
