D44 axle seal (?)

I've got a swapped in D44 in my '96 and one of my axle seals is leaking and needs replacement. Is it possible to just buy a seal and press on bearing retainer collar or do you have to buy the whole bearing/seal/collar set up? There's nothing wrong with the bearing itself and I really don't want to shell out about $50 if I don't have to! Thanks----------Hans

Well, I found out they are avaiable separately but, only from the dealer.....at $27! (YIKES!) So, I found a wholesale bearing house near me (they don't even carry it separately) and picked up a complete Timken set 10 bearing and lock ring for $34. That was a no brainer. If anybody is interested in getting it from the dealer (maybe you have a connection behind the parts counter?) the part number is: 83503077 -----------Hans
