View Full Version : What do you need to get done between now and then?

Well I wanted the honor of starting the first thread.
So what does your Jeep/RV/Tow Rig need to have done before you can go to NW fest? I know it is kinda early to think that far ahead, but lets here it anyway.
1 5 new Maxxis tires in the 33" flavor,
2 In order to fit those tires I have to install 2 more inches of lift.
3 I need wheels that don't make my tires rub on everything.
4 Replace my coax cable on my CB after Evans killed it.
5 I would "LIKE" to finish my bumpers someday.
6 For Michael, finish the 71 Super Beetle for the fifth year in a row
I have no car trailer and no RV to tow my jeep, So I am wheeling hardcore style, drive there and home AGAIN.
What about you?

1: 2 new rear tires. Replaced the front a month ago, but didn't have the money for the rears.
2: Alloy shafts for the rear 44, and regearing to 5.13.
3: Finish my front 44. Still needs shafts, and a locker.
Thats about it.

2 new TSL's. Maybe 4.
Better than stock X member.
SYE and DS.
Chop back half of roof off.
Maybe add some sort of cage if the roof gets chopped off.
Remove doors and carpet.
Relocate rear shocks.
Diff guards F&R.
A few more things...
Then have enough $$$ to try to make it to Serria Fest.

New serp belt
Annual oil change
Finish rear deck for cargo area
Install stereo

Visit Alaska
Kick Chuck Norris' tail in Roshambo
Pick up case of sardines

I suppose I'll need some tow points, maybe even a hitch.
Full size spare.
Coil spacers for a 2 inch lift.

3: regear my axles and hopefully put at least one locker in
4: MAYBE come up with some new bumpers that dont stick out so damn far.
5:finish stereo install

Thanks for the info, i already have passengers coming along. is the $30 forest pass per person or per vehicle? how much is it to get into the event? I need the full bill so I can let everyone know how much to give me. And in regards to this thread, I need:
Lockers
Steering upgrades (stabilizer, tie rod, extended track bar)
new rubber (I need some new 33s or 35s if anyone has them for $500 or less)
new steering box
winch and kc's (probably not anytime soon)
rear disk brake conversion (any thoughts on the best way for this? I know, I know Mark, keep it in the tech section...:dunce: )

So I can join at this event, right? I've been lazy, putting it off, not remembering when I'm writing bills out, etc. It'd be great to just hand someone some cash and be done.
As far as what I need to get done:
1. Finish boxing rear bumper & build tire carrier
2. Install front bumper, including framerail doublers
3. Install & route wiring for winch
4. Install TJ flares

I don't have paypal, I'm a friggin' Luddite when it comes to that stuff.
Can I pay someone at the event, or am I going to have to mail a check?

I hate you Mojojo in a jealous kinda way :rattle: Having a new daughter has severely cut into my jeep time.
1. Never had time to do #2. So I got a sweet :wierd: set of FREE BFG A/Ts One word FLOTATION
2. NOPE, Parts sitting in the garage
3. DONE
4. NOPE, never made a new mount. Going to the old stand by, handheld.
5. NOPE, need to do more trimming this weekend to run the BFGs.
6. NOPE. no explanation needed
7. Reinstall locker. Saturday
8. Finish building track bar. Saturday
9. Flex out and cut off whatever gets in the way. Saturday

I don't need any trimming for 35" toyos. They are barely smaller then a 33" BFG :shhh:
I would love to use the plasma but I don't have 3 phase :looser:
You still riding with me?
