I just recently replaced the neutral safety switch on my 2000 cherokee and my check engine light is still on. I got the code cleared and and it is still showing the P0705 code. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

Why did you replace it? They can be disassembled and cleaned. ANyway, it's probably not adjusted correctly. You need to loosen the smaller bolt that prevents it from rotating, put the tranny in reverse (engine off, parking brake on please), and rotate the switch until its in the center of the range where the reverse lights come on. I believe some of the switches have an alignment mark that lines up with a mark on the tranny too, but I find that manually adjusting them works better.
