reset question

I have a 92 xj. the maintence required light has come on in my jeep on the left side of my dash. i ran a scanner on it and it didnt come up with anything. book says it has to do with o2 sensor but my o2 sensor reads fine voltage. cant figure out how to get the light off. :huh:

The older models have a box under the dash, either white or yellow, the box is a timer that operates on it's own schedule or you can look at it as a dealer revenue enhancer. The dealer puts a new box in for $80 or so I have heard, I don't think the box is resetable. Some others will probably chime in here as they read it...I seem to remember hearing it comes on around 80K or so to 'remind' you to replace the O2 sensor..

Dad's 03 element does that at around 3000k to remind him for an oil change.....

It says Maint. Schedule or something like that.
