Dakota leafs vs. s10 leafs

All,
I don't really say alot on here but I read and get ALOT of good info.

Awhile back the big junkyard spring pack was out of a Dakota...

now it seems like everyone talks about s10 leafs...


was the Dakota leafs just a fad or did people start experiencing problems with them...

I'm fixin to throw a bastard pack together with Dakota leafs using the overload spring and I'm hoping to get 4-5 inches of lift...

I say 4-5 inchs because I currently have a stock '88 model leaf pack with a WORN out 2" aal.


Am I missing something?

Maybe the S-10 junk is easier to find/cheaper in the wrecking yards. Around here, you just about have people throw S-10's to the curb daily. ( of course, this is most likely caused by the "I gotta V-8" idiots wrecking constantly.) just a thought.

dakotas are softer, probably take more to get the same lift, but should ride better.

2wd or 4wd s-10??

I don't know about s10 but I have 4x4 Dakota springs

How do the Dakota springs ride?

I've heard they are nice and soft, but I haven't installed mine yet. Maybe someone will chime in.
