FIRE!

bought 89 wag ltd 4.o aw4,from dealer that was left for repair bill,ie diagnostics.towed it home charged the battery.replaced cps to cure no spark and it started.SCORE!Then fire,bad injecter seals.No big fix that now trans just starts to move rig then draws nuetral in forward and reverse.now what? I'm lost any ideas?

Well check the fluid level first,also smell the fluid and see if it smells burnt.If the fluid is low,fill and try it,if it smells or is dark when full,AND the tranny moves,change the filter and get it flushed.If it's full and won't move,ouch,:doh:

Changed fluid no change, acts like it wants to move then slips out of gear.Did go into rev. and move normal once but now back to same as before fluid change.Starting to think it is electrical?

did the fluid look brown or smell burned? if so u may need to replace clutches and steels. also drop the pan see if there is any metal in the filter you may have broke the sun shell or wrecked a band.
