adjustable proportioning valve versus....

either get the adjustable one from summit, but the i have to do the lines and fittings, etc. (does anyone have ezpierience with this set up) or just take the o-ring seal out of the stock proportioning valve. I have a dana 44 rear with a disc brake conversion using 8.8 rotors from a 95+ explorer set up. Only problem is that i feel over the years it just never gave me the braking i needed. The rig is heavily modifed and on 36's with a dana 30 still up front. Should i start with the cheapest mod yet and take the seal out of the stock proportioning valve?

I pulled the guts out of a Grand's prop valve and put them in my stock valve (I too, have Explorer brakes on my D44) took about 10 mins (plus bleeding the brakes, of course) and made a big difference----------Hans
