low idle

not sure if this is the right place for this but ....i have a 94 2.5lt xj about two days ago it started idleing really low ..now normally when i would first start it in the morning the thing would sit around 1000 rpm untill it warmed up then it would drop to some where around 750 to 850...now for some reason when i start it now it idles around 500 or 600 rpm ..just wanted to get a few ideas on what to check ..pulgs and wires are new ..it has good compresion .any thing you guys can point out to check i would be thankfull

Perhaps a good cleaning of the throttle body and the idle control motor.

thats about what mine idles same with my dads truck it idles real low too

Low?!?!? Mine idles at 300 or so at some times...

i figured it out lastnight bad cap and rotor ..its idleing right around 800 again..thanks for the imput guys..
