Well I'm new to jeeps and the 4.0L and have a few questions. Heres my ride, 96 XJ 4.0L, AW4, NP231 DCX 8.25. 132K miles

Whats the idle supposed to be set at, I'm at 775 now, I could not find this in a search.

Whats the fuel pressure with engine off and key on?

What should the cranking compression be?

How much vacuum should there be at idle?

Is it true that getting a factory posi was hit or miss or was there a trim level that got one, if not any easy way to tell when I go shopping for my next XJ?

to start idel is good.

fuel presure shold be around 35 LBS

compression ? mine is at 155 and it has over 300,000 on it

vacuum should be between 14 - 20, most of my 4.0L have been between 14 - 18

and as for posi , im not sure, mine has limited slip, works great.
