Seat interchangability for early/late models

Has anyone ever changed seats in an early year model for those out of a late year model? I own an 87, and have never looked underneath the seats of a 98 or so. Do they all have the same two bolt holes/two studs in the floor?

'94 and down are compatible, '95 and up will swap, possibly interchange with '93 and up ZJ
