Power steering pump tech

I had pretty sloppy steering since I bought the Heep so I recently replaced the trackbar and tie-rod end on the pitman arm. This seemed to fix the problem pretty well, but now I've noticed that when I first start up I have a lot of slop but after it runs a few minutes I have no play, nice tight steering that handles great. I didn't notice it when I first changed the trackbar because I let if run for a while before I drove it.

I assume this is a weak power steering pump...right? Any way to fix it without replacing it? I was thinking of replacing all of the fluid with new stuff, I doubt it has been done in 116K miles. I also have read that there is an adjustment on hte sttering box. Should I try that first?

TIA

No power steering pump love, eh?

Anyone know of a place where I can find out how to adjust the steering box?

Thanks-
