lower balljoint

hey guys. how do i get my lower ball joint out? im having a terrible time with it and its holding everyhting else up. thanks
 
Take off the knuckle and press it out. It may have a snap-ring holding it in.
 
rent a ball joint press from a local auto parts store.
 
i dont think it has a snap ring and to my eyes the bottom half of it sticking out of the bottom of the lower knuckle is wider then the top of the lower balljoint. so it presses down to go out right?
 
IIRC it presses up. The nut should be on the bottom.

If you can't find a place to rent the tool easily check out the tool warehouse. When I did mine I picked the ball joint press here for a great price. Harbor freight has a cheaper one but it really only one time use. the one from there was hard to turn and cracked. The AP one is solid. Good luck getting it out.
