Just measured the yoke my Ford HP D44. It appears to be a 1330--3&5/8 wide with 1&1/16 caps. I believe the stk D30 yoke is a 1310, which I think is 3&7/32 wide, and probably uses 1&1/16 caps (haven't measured yet).
Do I use the RE 1310/1330 u-joint, or do I change out the D44's yoke to 1310 (assuming I can). Whats the best solution.
Thanks for your input

I don't see what the problem would be using the RE 1310/1330. I've run around for years with a old Ford 1/2 tons pickup with a 3/4 drivetrain and had to use the same type of set up to adapt the drivelines to the Tcase. Never failed me.

I have the spicer 1310 to 1330 on my front drive shaft and HP Dana 44. So far its worked fine. I have broken 2 front axle shafts with out any other damage to the driveshaft, gears, or locker. I would run that joint unless you are getting a whole new drive shaft made at which point I would just put a 1330 at the axle end so there isnt a need for a "special" conversion joint.
