Gonna be buying a TIG soon. Was looking at the Miller Econotig, or Lincoln (don't remember the name). I only have about 1500 to spend, and I want an AC/DC welder (heard Aluminum welds better in AC).
TIA,
Judd
P.S. I want the welder to modify my XJ (shameless attempt to make sure post isn't off topic)

TIG welding takes alot of time,so look at the "Duty Cycle" especially on the "air cooled" models.Other than that "Miller" rocks!

I have the Miller Econotig, paid $600 used. Perfect for the welding needs at the race shop and for Jeep stuff. You can also weld stick with it if needed. AC/DC.
TIG reqires so much prep work that I find I do not come close to the duty cycle. MIG is a different story.
