Auto Trans Fluid

Are you running Dexron or the special ATF? My Dexron is Dex IIE which as I remember is approved for electronic transmissions. I've had it a while I think the new Dex is III.

Gregg, the Mercon/Dexron IIE is fine to use. You're correct in that it was the earlier spec for electronically controlled transmissions, and it's very close to the M/D III specs. In fact, I also had some old M/D IIE on the shelf that I used in mine.
