T-Case swap?

is a np 231 a direct swap for the np 242, save for losing my "FULL TIME'option in 4 hi?

???

im wondering if i should split the case and just see if my drive chain is worn out or anything else obvious is busted...just seems to slip the front drive when in any 4x4 option...rear still drives fine but makes horibble grinding sound (like jumping of chain>>>)

any ideas????

rebuilding the t-case is very easy....

if you decide thats something you wanna do, post agin, I have a good place to send you for parts that will take care of ya.
