XJ starting problem

ok here is what is happening
like every other crank or so when trying to crank in Park the XJ will not do anything, no noise, no nothing, But when i shift it in to Neutral it will usually crank, and it seems to be getting worse, now sometimes it will not crank in neutral either, i will have to shift it back and forth a few times from Park to Neutral and play around with it to get it to crank

Any suggestions to what might be wrong

That's your neutral safety switch... Easy to replace.

about $400 and take old part out, put new part in...

the better option is to clean the NSS...
they get gummed up and cause this...

hey one more thing, i got a problem with my speedo, it will not work some of the times, and then it will start working at random times,

yea i aint got the money to get a new one now, so i will probably try to clean it out, and see what happens
