Do any coolant passages open to the int/exh manifolds

I need to pull the exhaust manifold off of my 90 4.0. Will I open up any coolant passages if I remove the manifolds?

I just dont want to attempt this in my garage without draining the colling system, but I also dont want to drain it if its not needed.

I could be wrong, but I am not familiar with any motors made in the last 50 years, other than marine engines, where coolant makes direct contact with the exhaust manifold. Don't worry about the intake side of the unit either. Just getting at the bolts is the biggest problem with this job.

No coolant - you'll just want to remove the airbox, and have a 9/16" universal socket to reach the lower rear bolts.

I've done this a few times now...
