just read a lengthy thread concerning oil. Recently our local mechanic shoed me a tech bulletin concerning oiol weights. the basic jist of the reading was that 40 weight and higher oil is very hard on the mechanicals(primarily the crank). It stated that the ash used to increase the viscosity of the oil causes excessive wear on the bearing journals. Anyone else hear anything about this?
