Front DS Grease

Ok, so I crawled under the MJ last week to grease all the DS u-joint and all the suspension stuff. I can't get to the zerk fitting on the front DS at the t-case. Is there a smaller fitting for a grease gun then the regular one that goes over the fitting? I had to use 4WD today, and noticed that the was some extra noise up front. Either it just needs greased, or it's shot, but I want to grease it first.

I always called it a needle adaptor, there may be another name for it.
