It was a Great day at Rausch, sorry no one from NAC was able to attend! There were members from at least 6 other clubs and some independents as well.

This is an article written by Doug U. from WastedTrails about the days events - enjoy.

I'll be up there on the 24th. Planning on it. I couldn't make it this time, I had to get ready for a trip to the west coast, and recover from the Sat. night Halloween party.

Hope it was all good,

Andy

Sorry John - Didn't mean to leave you out! My one compatriot for the day.

BTW - John's XJ did really well on the trails we ran, even though he is open Fr & Rr (for now) he did better on some of the obstacles than guys with 1 or even 2 lockers!

We need a better showing of XJ's to show up all these damn SWB Jeeps on the trail!

I was there floating around. I watched the hardcore Trail 5 for a while, they were stopped for breakage and already looking for alternate exits out of the woods. I then went over to Trail 4, a moderate trail. There were two clubs (about 20 rigs) running it together and there were two XJ's, one had the 6" Skyjacker kit, and the other was the same as mine, lifted 3". I was really tired from just having gotten home late the night before after a 14 hour drive and was glad to float around. The park is going to be awesome. There were about 70 vehicles and from the stories I heard, groups only ran into each other as they exited the park at the end of the day. Sweet!

Heya, John. Yeah, I have an XJ again. After owning an XJ, then a YJ, then an XJ, then a TJ ... I've pretty much come to realize that the grass is always greener on the other side, so now we have both.
