Just got an 8.8 today. What to expect as far as the rear driveshaft goes, as well as the 8.8 yoke? It now has a round flange yoke, what to replace it with? Where to buy the new yoke?

use a yoke adapter from a 91-97 ford ranger or go buy the adapter from ford part number E9TZ-4782-B. or go to MORE part number 221379. you will also need to fix the brake situation if you plan on putting it into a xj if you are jsut email me at [email protected] and i can send you what needs to be done since i have been retrieving the same info for like 1-1/2 months now

Before you go buy a new flange adaptor...

Some rare explorers came with 1310 U-joints...

Have you thought about running stronger 1330 u-joints instead?

You can also buy a 1310/1330 combo u-joint.

I run the flange adaptor off the Explorer that my current axle came from. It uses the 1310 u-joint. I simply had the TW Shaft made with yokes that use the same 1310 joint.

Before I purchased the TW shaft, I ran an off-set (combo) u-joint.
