Plugged cowl drains.

Anybody know of an easier way to clean out the cowl drains than pulling the fender out at the rear? Mine are plugged which is causeing water to drain into the cab.

IIRC....take off your wipers.
Lift hood.
Remove cowl panel.
Clean apropriately.

Crap builds up there and then it creeps in throught the fresh air intake part.

Same damn thing happened on the minivan. The sloshing noise drove me crazy.

Where exactly are the drains on an XJ, have had cowl off numerous time but never saw drains. Mine leaks like a sieve.

Sooooo that's where the fresh air comes into the cab at....huh I understand now.

After you get it opened up use a wet/dry vac to clean it.
