I have the complete assembly ready to go into my Jeep. My question is, will I still be able to use the same slip yoke driveshaft off the old axle onto this one for the time being. I really cant afford the SYE right at this point, but my 8.25 is about to explode. TIA Justin

I pulled my 8.25 and replaced with a low-pinion MJ 44, keeping the same DS and (YJ) slipyoke in my 89 XJ 4.0/AW4/231 with 1" TC drop.

I did go from +2 to +6 springs during the swap, and have vibes to shim out, but length-wise mine is fine.

Look for the seal wear pattern on your yoke and compare to how it sits with the new axle installed...if it's close, you should be OK.

Thanks Woody
