Front disk conversion

confused

Does anyone know if its possible to fit ZJ front disk brakes from say a '95 to a '91 XJ? I'm thinking the knuckle might be a problem. Is it even worth doing? Thanks!

ZJ and XJ front disks are the same, I think. Maybe you're confusing it with the WJ brake conversion, which does allow for bigger disks. There are variations using Volvo brake parts to get better stopping - you should just need to fab up a bracket to mate the 4-pot caliper onto your current knuckle.

Calipers on the ZJ are bigger than XJ (at least early XJs)
Would the 15" wheels work with the ZJ calipers or do they need 16" wheels?

The early ZJ's use 15" rims too. I have a set of 16" ZJ alloys on my '88 Comanche (tough to find!) with 255/85/16 tires.
