Recently got a 90 XJ with this system installed and after having to change the battery the ignition has been locked out. The system has the valet control on the dash with a green and red L.E.D. When the new battery was connected there was a steady red and a flashing green light ; attempted to start the vehicle with no luck. On the advice of a Jeep dealer mechanic have tried resetting the system by removing the positive battery cable with same results. Tried locking all doors and unlocking drivers, passengers and hatch to reset system to no avail. Tried disconnecting control module which makes the lights go away but does not disable the system. Also have not been able to locate any type of toggle switch under the dash or any where else to disable the system. If any of you folks have words of wisdom they would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Usually the vallet switch is used to reset the system. By pusshing the switch a certain number of times in a certain order the alarm is reset. At least this is how mines works. The code is user set so good luck figuring it out.
