Question about front hub assembly

Dear all,
I was doing the front brakes on my Jeep and when I had it apart, the rotor did not seem to turn as free as I thought it would. Should it turn very easily or should there be more resistance due to the axle shaft and other items? Remember, my point of comparison is front wheels on rear wheel drive cars.

It should turn smoothly, with no play and no noise, but it won't spin.
