Is $186.00 High?

I own a 93 Cherokee 4.0. I broke the ear off the front axle inside shaft. I have looked around and tried to get oen from a parts house but all they have is CV shafts. I need the u-joint type. All I need is the inner axle, the guy at the distributor quoted me $186.00 for the D*&^ thing. a new CV shaft is only $120.00. Thsi seems outragous to me. Am I right? has anybody else bought such a part?

yea, i paid 50$ for all the shafts from a bone yard d30.
i would at least try the bone yard before i made that kinda decision.

Quadratec has the whole shaft assembly for $135 ,pass or drivers side.

I just got axle shafts with ujoints for both sides from a fellow jeeper for $40. You may put a wanted ad up for a couple days and search through the for sale section.
