The AW4 auto trans in my 90 might need replacing. Will a 1995 AW4 trans bolt right in? Also will my current 1990 electrical connections and TCU functionality work?

I think the trans are the same all the way up to 96+ where they added another sensor of some sort to the same tranny.

So i am pretty sure it will work but the electrical connector may need to be spliced or redone....tho i would make sure.

yes i think they did...so it would work if you changed the transfer case and tranny together from the 95, other wise the work involved to change the shafts is not worth it.

Yes it will work yes everything will plug right in
yes the output shaft on the tranny is 23 not 21 spline
yes you will need to change the input on your TC to match the Tranny
yes it is easy to do or can be done at a shop for 50 bucks or so if you have the part (most any gear shop will have 23 spline inputs for the 231 laying around everywere)
