Replace old style mirrors with new?

I did a search on this and wasn't successful.

Can you replace a 84-96 power mirror with a 97+ model?

I'm trying to get the full folding capability and thought this might be an answer.

Yes.

Bolt-on conversion, but very pricey. No after-market source that I know of for the new style.
