I have an 88 that is ver tired and leaking worse than anyother vehicle i have ever seen and with 278K i think that it is time for a rebuild. where would you guys suggest getting engine kits from?
This is my first post to this forum. Long time reader, short time "poster." Anyway, I have a 94 that I'm about to yank & rebuild. I've located a supplier that has the kits for $425.00 (with cam!) out the door. That's delivered for less than $500. Boring is $20 bucks a hole & I'll add around $200 for the head. That's $750.00 for a fresh mill. Not too bad! That'll bump up a little, but the meat of the project is under a grand, and you can play with the porting while your assembling it.
Just a thought for anyone still looking to rebuild...
